Sandra Garcia Quahlupe

Sandra Garcia (Martinez) Quahlupe, 65, of Lubbock, left her earthly home on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.  Sandra was born to the late Henrique Martinez and Mary (Garcia) Martinez on April 15, 1957, in Lubbock, Texas.

Sandra attended and graduated from Carson High School in 1976 and received college credit while attending Women’s Job Corp.  She worked as a receptionist for Harbor General in California, before retiring in 2000.  She loved to paint, reading the word from the bible, upholstering, and held her family together with her strong will and faith.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include one son, Steven Martinez of Lubbock; one daughter, Jessica Day of Lubbock; two brothers, Israel and Henry Martinez, Jr. of Lubbock; two sisters, Rose Pico and Patsy Rowell of Lubbock; eight grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and one son, Jonathan Martinez.

Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Message Church, 5502 Auburn, Lubbock, TX 79416.

Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory.
