Sara Oropeza

Sara Torrico Oropeza, 80, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022, in Lubbock, Texas. She was born July 17, 1942, to Bernabe and Petrona (Cortez) Torrico in Tarija, Bolivia.  She earned her secretarial certificate from Cochabamba Secretarial School.  Sara married Abdon L. Oropeza on June 11, 1964. She worked as a food service aid at a daycare facility. Sara was a Christian and attended One Accord Fellowship.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents Bernabe and Petrona Torrico and her husband Abdon L. Oropeza. Those remaining, to cherish her memories are her daughters, Elizabeth Oropeza of Lubbock, Patricia Delacruz and husband Carlos of North Carolina, Sandra Villa, and husband Enrique of Plainview; son, Ricardo Oropeza and wife Laura of Lubbock; sisters, Flora Torrico and Maria Pardo and grandchildren, Brittany Lawrence and husband Ian, Lacie, Adrian and Micah Oropeza; Christian, Noah and Nadia Delacruz; Analisa, Andrew. Adam and Abram Villa and great-granddaughter, Elowyn Lawrence.

The family of Sara Oropeza will greet friends, Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 5-7PM, at One Accord Fellowship Church, 6002 Ave U, Lubbock. a graveside service is scheduled for 11:30AM, Friday, November 11, 2022 at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery; a memorial service will be held at One Accord Fellowship Church, at 12:30PM, following the graveside.
