Sarah Lawrence, a mother, daughter, sister, and friend passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and a profound impact on all who knew her. Born on April 28, 1977, in Lubbock, Texas, Sarah’s life was one defined by her unwavering spirit and dedication to those around her. A graduate of Coronado High School in 1995, Sarah embarked on a journey that would see her travel through various paths. She continued her education at Southwest Texas before finding her calling as a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines, a role she cherished for many years. When returning back to Lubbock, she graduated from Texas Tech University, earning her B.S. degree in Human Sciences and English. Her professional journey took her to Covenant Medical Center in Plainview, where she worked as a surgical tech. Driven by her passion for helping others, Sarah went on to obtain her Surgical First Assistant certification and was recognized with the Excellence Award, a testament to her hard work and dedication.

Outside of her career, Sarah exuded an infectious joy for life. She attended Camp Longhorn every year, evolving from camper to counselor and eventually becoming an employee, sharing her love for the outdoors and mentoring the next generation. Her outgoing nature and gift for making friends gave her the unique ability to touch lives, always being a caretaker, a giving spirit, and a source of support. She found beauty in the details and enjoyed connecting with others over shared interests.
