Scott McDonald (61) passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022, in Shallowater, TX. He was born Friday, April 28, 1961, to Daniel R. and Carol R. (Lockard) McDonald in Tarrant County, TX. Scott attended Texas Tech University and East Texas State University. He was a multimedia graphic designer, working for Texas Tech University and retiring from there after 20 years of service.

Scott married Sarah Warner, June 25, 2010; they were of the Church of Christ faith and members of the 12th Street Church of Christ, Shallowater where Scott felt very blessed to be a member of the family. He enjoyed camping and fly fishing in Colorado and New Mexico, art, and microbrewing. Scott loved his wife, was very proud of his son and stepchildren, and his grandchildren were the light of his life.

Scott was preceded in death by his father and mother, Daniel R. and Carol R., and an infant sister, Sarah McDonald. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sarah, a son, Daniel O., his stepchildren Andrew Burton and Alison Burton-Whitney; a sister Kathy McDonald Carroll (Randy), a brother Todd (Vickie) McDonald; nieces, Taylor and Madison McDonald, a nephew Connor McDonald; grandchildren Alexander McDonald, Ariella Whitney, Atticus McDonald, and Saydee Whitney.

The family of, Scott McDonald, will have a gathering of remembrance, from 5:30-7:30PM, Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Oak Crest Suite, Combest Funeral Home, 2210 Broadway. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM, Friday, November 18, 2022, at 12th St Church of Christ, shallowater. Arrangements were entrusted to Combest Family Funeral Homes, Lubbock.
