Shanna Davis, 42, of Austin and formerly of Lubbock, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. Shanna was born on May 2, 1979, in Lubbock, to Robert Michael Peterson and the late Janice Michelle (Jobb) Reasoner.
She grew up in Lubbock, attending Coronado High School and graduating with the senior class of 1997. Attending Texas Tech University, she obtained her bachelor's degree in interior design, with a minor in photograph, in 2002. From 2002 to 2003, she worked for Furniture Row in Lubbock before moving to Austin in 2004. In Austin, she worked for California Closets and most recently Inspired Closets until her death. She loved to travel, walking her dog Dolly Parton, the Austin music scene and was very people oriented as she had a large circle of friends.
Shanna is survived by her parents, Mike and Ruth Peterson of Lubbock, and Greg Reasoner of Lubbock; one brother, Colt Davis of Lubbock, nephew, Ethan Scott, her paternal grandparents, Cyril and Sandra Reasoner of Lubbock and her beloved dog and companion, Dolly Parton. She was preceded in death by her mother, on December 12, 2015, and her aunt, Jill Nicholson.
Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 8, 2022, in the Combest Family Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Austin Boxer Rescue Kennel, 516 N. Hewitt Drive, Hewitt, TX 76643.
