Sheila LaGene Wuensche, 52, of McAllen died Thursday, November 10, in her home after a lengthy battle with an autoimmune disorder. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Generations Church located at 5201 University Avenue in Lubbock, TX.

Sheila was born on October 7, 1970, in Lovington, New Mexico, to Mike Leonard and Sharon (Loven) Hayes. Sheila attended schools in Oxford, England, Mountain Home, Idaho, and graduated from Lovington High School, where she played in the band and participated in various sports. On July 20, 1996, she married Craig Wuensche, and together they raised three beautiful children, Monica, Michael, and Cody. Sheila loved her granddaughters, family, and friends dearly.

She was an avid photographer and beachgoer and was passionate about anything that could be done at the beach. She loved the outdoors, and treasured her time walking along the sand of many beaches with her husband, children, granddaughters, and friends. Beaches, including, Capistrano, Santa Monica, Long Beach, Huntington, Catalina, Galveston, Cocoa, Melbourne, Pfeiffer, Carmel, San Carlos, Del Monte, Stinson Beaches, and Catalina and South Padre Islands.

Sheila was an entrepreneur in the field of Computer Technology and was active in the profession until a couple years ago. Following her retirement, she and Craig had an opportunity to spend cherished one-on-one time with her grandchildren, whom she adored. Sheila enjoyed cooking for family and friends and was quite proficient in the kitchen.

Sheila is survived by her husband, Craig; daughter Monica Burroughs, sons Michael (Chloe) Willis of Lubbock, and Cody Wuensche of McAllen; four granddaughters, Skylar and Summer Burroughs, and Liv and Blair Willis; her parents Sharon Lynn and Michael Jackson of Lubbock, TX. She was preceded in death by her father, Mike Leonard Hayes, and Sister, Stephanie Lynn Jackson.
