To Sherian, God and family was the most important part of her life. She helped raise her brothers in her youth, cooking and cleaning next to her mother and helping her father to cut wood to keep them warm. She supported her husband in his trucking career for over 50 years. She was always proud of her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In her high school years, she loved to walk in the mountains during her spare time. She loved having a Coca-Cola and just eating a hamburger. As she got older, she liked to talk about basketball and play basketball with her kids. She watched all Texas Tech sports, Dallas Cowboys, and Kansas City Chiefs with her husband and family. She would cheer and get mad right alongside with her husband Charles. She listened to Country and Gospel music.
