Shirley Lorene Jepsen, age 66, of Shallowater, Texas, passed away on July 23, 2025.

Shirley was born in Lubbock, Texas, to Auda Lee Everette and Leora Mabel Rathbun. She attended Shallowater High School and graduated in 1976. Shirley dedicated over 20 years of service as a corrections officer at the John Montford Unit, where she was known for her strength, compassion, and steady presence.

She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Khorchani and husband Hatem, Rebecca Rodriguez and husband Michael, her brother, Danny Everette and wife Jeannie; her sister, Katherine Webb; and her three beloved grandchildren, Seth (21), Zechariah (16), and Zain (5).

She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends who will miss her deeply.

A memorial service will be held at Lubbock First Church of the Nazarene on August 2, 2025 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the World Wildlife Fund or the local animal shelter.
