Sophie VILLABORD West

Sophie West Raymonde Francoise Marie VILLIBORD (71) passed away December 21, 2025, in Lubbock, TX. She as born September 9, 1954, to Germain VILLIBOD and Marie Villibord Marie Magdeleine Emilie COLLIN, in Mautauban-de-Bretagne, France.

Sophie, by trade, was a Seciltaire de Direction (a high-level administrative professional who supports a director or executive). She migrated to the United States, where she was continuing her education, earning her Bachelors’ Degree at San Angelo State University. She transferred to Texas Tech University where she earned her Masters’ Degree and was working towards her Doctoral Degree. Sophie married David Lee West on September 14, 1983.

Sophie was preceded in death by her husband, David Lee West (October 2018), and her parents, Germain VILLIBORD and Marie Villibord Marie Magdeleine Emilie COLLIN. She is survived by a very dear friend and caretaker, Shelley Wisener.
