Susan Martin, 59, of Lubbock, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022. Susan was born on August 18, 1962, in Niceville, Okaloosa County, Florida to Annette Louise (Richmond) Hallman and the late Mickey Hallman.
She was married to Terry Martin on January 18, 2016, in Lubbock. Terry preceded her in death on January 10, 2022.
Susan attended Lubbock High School, where she graduated with the senior class of 1980. She attended Lamar University, obtaining her Masters Degree in Education. Susan taught at Roscoe Wilson Elementary School for many years, retiring in 2020. She loved traveling, cooking, but thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Olivia. She was a member of Southcrest Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Gunter Igo and his wife Amber of Lubbock, Garrett Igo and his wife Grace of Monte Verde, Florida and Zachary Martin of Lubbock; one brother, Johnny Hallman and his wife Erin of Dallas; her mother, Annette Hallman of Lubbock and one granddaughter, Olivia Igo of Lubbock. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, Mickey Hallman.
Celebration of Life Memorial Services are pending and will be announced at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Susan's memory be directed to a charity of ones choosing.
