Tammy Ahnise (Cole) Wheeler

Tammy Ahnise (Cole) Wheeler, 61, of Lubbock, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday morning, September 2, 2022.  Tammy was born on October 28, 1960, in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona, to the late James Bradley Cole and Mary Beth (Hill) Cole.

She attended Coronado High School, graduating with the Senior Class of 1979.  Following graduation, she attended and graduated from cosmetology school in Snyder.

On July 4, 1991, she married James Boyd Wheeler at Calvary Baptist Church in Lubbock.

Tammy was a housewife and loving mother to her daughter, Kacy.  She loved to cook, research everything on the internet, and was a music buff, especially Rock and Roll.  She previously worked as a library clerk for Texas Tech University, before retiring in 1999.

Those left behind to cherish and honor her memory include her husband, James; one daughter, Kacy Wheeler of Lubbock; one brother, Jimmy Cole of Flower Mound, Texas.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be no visitation for Tammy at Combest Family Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, September 9, 2022, in the Combest Family Memorial Chapel.  Chip Polk will be the officiant.  Final rites and interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory.

Pallbearers will be Jason Polk, Mark Wright, Donivan Myers, Newman Wheeler, Robert Strickland, Blake Stewart, Kurt Hill, and Bruce Burson.
