Teodora Casarez Sauceda

Teodora Casarez Sauceda, 80, passed away October 20, 2025, in Lubbock, TX. She was born April 1, 1945, to Manuel and Trinadad (Bentuncar) Casarez, in Temple, TX.

If you were to ask Teodora what her accomplishments were in life, she would tell you about her children, her grandchildren, and her “boy” great grandson. If you were to ask her children and grandchildren what her accomplishments were, they would tell you about her cooking, her crochet skills, and her bingo skills. Most of all, her greatest accomplishment was having a relationship with Jesus. She can be quoted as saying, “I love Jesus.”

Teodora was preceded in death by her husband, Leonel M. Sauceda, Pedro Hernandez, Marcus Jesus Cantu, and Dahlia Doris Mosqueda. Those remaining to cherish her memories, and carry on her legacy are, her daughter, Jan Sauceda, and 2 sons, Domingo Cantu and Gary Sauceda; 2 additional sons, Mark A. Salazar, Robert R. Salazar; 13 grandchildren, to name a few,, Philip, Samantha, Crystal, Zane, Believe, Bishop, Esmerelda, and Neyah; her great grandson, Phillipe Acosta IV, plus, 6 great grandchildren, and 11 Godchildren.

The family will honor the life of Teodora Sauceda, with a Rosary at 9:30AM, Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Our lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Lubbock. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:00AM, Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Lubbock. Cremation will take place at Combest Family Funeral Home and Crematory, Lubbock.
