Terry Vieregge, 74, of Lubbock died while surrounded by family and friends Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, in Lubbock following a lengthy illness.
Terry was born July 6, 1951, in Levelland to Elmer and Novell (Allison) Vieregge. He graduated from Lubbock Christian High School in 1970 and attended Lubbock Christian College.
He drove a variety of trucks over the years, hauling pipe, automotive parts, milk, bread, cookies and dirt. He was the owner/operator of ServPro of Lubbock for several years.
Terry dearly loved his high school and college friends. He also loved the Texas Tech Red Raiders, Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs. He enjoyed telling funny stories and had a tremendous memory. He was extremely proud of his children and their accomplishments. Terry especially loved watching the History Channel, Fox News and Wheel of Fortune.
Terry and his family loved watching movies, eating out and watching sports. He always was happy to share a Meat-Lovers Pizza with jalapenos and pineapple and a Whataburger meal. He also loved Milky Ways, Tabasco Sauces and all types of potatoes.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Marilyn; daughter Amanda “Mandy” of Lubbock; son Quentin of Rice Lake, Wisc.; and brother Danny (and wife Darlene) of Tennessee.
Terry had a deep faith in God and loved to study and discuss the Bible with friends and family. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by those who loved him.
Memorial services will be at 10 AM on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the Venue on Broadway, 2202 Broadway in Lubbock, which is next door to Combest Family Funeral Home. Mr. David Langford, pulpit minister of Quaker Avenue Church of Christ, will be the officiant. He will be assisted by Mr. Rocky Shaw and Mr. Richard Phillips. Services and cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory.
