Timothy "Tim" Ray Smyrson

Timothy “Tim” Ray Smyrson passed away on August 10, 2026. Tim was

born to Nancy and Jerry Smyrson on August 2, 1966 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He

spent his early and teenage years alongside his parents and brothers at their

family home in Rockport, Texas. Tim later moved to Lubbock, Texas in the year of

1992.

Tim was an outgoing and wild soul who was sure of what he wanted in life. From

serving in the Army to successfully starting his own businesses, Tim was never

afraid to reach for his dreams and goals. Whether he was bragging about his three

beautiful children or teaching his fur son and partner in crime, Buddy, new tricks,

Tim found happiness in the simplicity of living while always being excited to jump

on the wild ride that is life.

Although he was a man of great achievement and success, Tim’s greatest

joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren, whom he loved so very

deeply. He adored his boat and Corvette and never passed up an opportunity to

enjoy a ride in either one. He had his own distinct sense of humor that you simply

could not help but laugh along with. He loved traveling with his boys, visiting his

daughter, and experiencing all that our world has to offer.

Tim had a drive and work ethic that inspired many, often helping others take their

first steps into the world of entrepreneurship. Tim entered the Kirby Vacuum

business in 1988 where he ranked number one distributor in the world. Tim made

the transition in 2015 to EV International and worked his way to excellence in

which he also achieved the number one distributor title. He was quick with advice

and loved sharing his experiences with those around him. Tim had a sternness

about him, and was passionate to see those he cared about succeed.

Tim’s bold presence and outgoing character will absolutely be missed, but

his legacy and spirit will undoubtedly live on in our hearts and minds. He was a

beloved father, son, friend, mentor, and grandfather.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Nancy Smyrson.

Tim is survived by his two brothers, Tony and Tommy; three children, Jessica,

Seth, and Zachary; their spouses, Josh, Abbey, and Lyndee; four grandchildren,

Linken, Olivia, Violet, Elizabeth, and a grandson who is soon to make his arrival,

Sterling.

The Smyrson family and Tim’s beloved friends will forever mourn him, but

we find peace in the certainty that he lived his life to the absolute fullest. Whether

you knew Tim in passing or had a close relationship with him, you knew his spark

and sharp mind. There is no denying that Tim Smyrson has forever left a mark on

the world.
