Tonya Ann Wagnon, born on October 6, 1976, in Odessa, Texas, to Mitchell Wagnon and Katherian Wagnon, passed away surrounded by love and memories that will forever be cherished.
Tonya was known for her radiant smile, contagious laughter, and her signature pose, always with her tongue sticking out in pictures. Her playful spirit and sense of humor could light up any room and bring joy to everyone around her. She was a proud “rebel with a cause,” unafraid to be herself and to stand up for what she believed in. Tonya was an enthusiastic supporter of Texas Tech University, a passion that began when her daughter, Samantha, attended the school. She had a love for the outdoors, especially when it came to fishing and camping, each hobby reflecting her fun-loving, adventurous nature. But above all, Tonya’s greatest joy and accomplishment was being a mother. Her love, devotion, and pride in her family were the center of her world.
Tonya will be remembered for her free spirit, her laughter, and the love she gave so freely to those lucky enough to know her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
She is survived by her daughters, Brittny Patrick of Lubbock, TX, Samantha O’Neal of Lubbock, TX, and Bailey O’Neal of Midland, TX; mother, Katherian (Dale) Sappington of Waco, TX; brother. Mathew Harris of Lubbock, TX; and sisters, Shellie Riggs and Lynsie Wagnon of Granbury, TX.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mike Hadorn, and father, Mitchell Wagnon.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 2 PM at Difference Makers Fellowship.
