Ty Teague

Ty Teague, 29, of Wilson, Texas, passed away suddenly in the early morning hours of Monday, July 14, 2025. Ty was born on October 3, 1995, to Melvin and Michelle. His father preceded him in death.

Ty attended school in Lubbock ISD and graduated from Monterey High School in 2014.

Ty loved to hunt and fish, and play video games with his close friend, Chad. His favorite pass time was working and fixing up his special truck. He was an avid gun collector and was a great listener and friend to all. Ty always placed his own needs aside to help others in need, and he was a hard worker who loved his job and was proud of the work he did. Ty was the Lead Fire Technician for ABCO Fire Services in Wolfforth for a number of years. Most of all, he was a dedicated father to Kashtyn Teague, Kynli Rojas and Emery Rojas. Ty was raised up in the Baptist faith.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Michelle and Scott of Lubbock; his beloved children, Kashtyn, Kynli and Emery of Lubbock; a very dear sister, Whitney of Lubbock; his maternal grandmother, Fran Koontz of Childress; his step-maternal grandmother, Peggy Petty of Nocona; his aunts: Camille (Christopher) Howard of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Kizzi (Chris) Lewellen of Childress; his cousins: Spencer, Gus and Sam; Teresia Freeman (Bruce) of Vernon; his uncle, David Teague (Stephanie) of Vernon. Ty was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Teague, Jr.; a sister, Lindsay; maternal grandfather, Jerry Petty; paternal grandfather, Melvin Teague, Sr. and his paternal grandmother, Bonnie Bryant.
