Valentine Barron

Valentine Barron of Lubbock, Texas departed this life on Tuesday, November 26 at the age of 58. He was born November 21, 1961 to Jesus Sr. and the late Esperanza Barron (2002).  He was a 1980 graduate of Dunbar High School and proudly served in the United States Army. He married his soul mate and love of his life Graciela Barron in 1991. Valentine was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved life, family, working, dancing and was also an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Graciela Barron of 28 years; one daughter Destiny Castillo and husband Christopher of Lubbock; one son Juan Galvan and wife Asucena of Lubbock; four grandchildren, Jacob, Mia, Jamion and Maylie; three great-grandchildren Emree, Luna and Hailey. His father Jesus Sr of Lubbock, two brothers, Jesus Barron Jr (Graciela), and Richard Barron (Leticia) all from Lubbock, two sisters, Augustina Barron and Lisa Hays (Marcus) both of Lubbock, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Valentine was preceded in death by his mother Esperanza Barron in 2002; and brother Raul V. Barron in 2019.

Rosary for Valentine Barron will be on Monday, December 2, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. with Deacon Martin Miranda at Combest Family Funeral Homes. Viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Cathedral Catholic Church with Father John Ohlig officiating. Military honors will follow the Mass.
