Warren B. Fillinger

Warren B. Fillinger of Lubbock passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the age of 86.  He was born February 16, 1928 in Columbus, Ohio to Burrell H. and Donna Louise (Ensley) Fillinger.  Warren was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.  After honorable discharge he worked in the automotive industry repairing transmissions.  He married Shirley Pierce Black in 1978.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Shirley, of Lubbock; three daughters, Dana Bender, Anita, Rita Denning and husband Gary; two sons, Mike Black and wife Tammie, Rick Black and wife Julie; two sisters, Shirley and Audrea; sister and brother-in-law Tom and Pat Whalen;  seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a special friend, Stan Matthis and family.

Warren is preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Tina Hanson.

Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Combest Family Funeral Homes.
