WENDY WALKER HEBERT – In loving memory, Wendy Walker Hebert, aged 51, departed for Heaven on December 17 in Lubbock, Texas. A cherished native of Houston, Wendy graced the world with her presence on June 15, 1972, as the beloved daughter of Rob Walker and Diane Richardson.

Wendy's roots intertwined deeply with Houston, where she flourished, completing her education at Episcopal High School. It was within those years that fate intertwined her journey with Christopher Hill Hebert, her future husband. Following their high school years, their love blossomed, leading to a beautiful union and the gift of two precious children, Hailey Diane Hebert, and Jackson Walker Hebert. Relocating to Lubbock, Wendy embraced the role of a nurturing mother, adorning her children with boundless affection. Her presence radiated warmth and wisdom, establishing her as the cherished matriarch not only within her immediate family but also across her extended loved ones.

Wendy's love for animals, especially cats, was boundless. Her heart opened wide for every stray that crossed her path, and her family knew to expect new furry additions to their home at any given moment. She was not just kind; she was selfless, Wendy created a haven where every cat found comfort, knowing they had a forever home filled with love and care. Her dedication to these animals was truly remarkable, leaving pawprints of compassion in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

Wendy leaves behind her devoted husband of 26 years, Christopher, who stood by her side through life's journey, alongside her cherished children, Hailey and Jackson, her mother in-law, Ann Peckham Berry and father in-laws, Royce Berry and Ken Hebert, brother in-law Ken Hebert Jr. as well as countless aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, and loved ones.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Allen Walker, and sister-in-law, Andrea Walker. Wendy also joins her cousin, Tara Richardson, grandfather, Dr. John Richardson, and grandmother, Ann Richardson, in eternal peace.

A commemoration of Wendy's life will be held in Houston at a future date to honor her memory. For those dear to her wishing to pay tribute in a meaningful manner, contributions in Wendy's name to any Animal Rescue Organization would be a fitting and heartfelt remembrance of her compassionate spirit.
