William “Bill” H. Robinson, 87, of Lubbock, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Lubbock Hospitality House. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on October 25, 1938, to the late Elmer D. Robinson and Willie Mae (Hackler) Robinson.
Bill attended high school in Little Rock, graduating with his senior class of 1957. He had lived in Clovis, New Mexico and Salinas, California, before deciding to settle down in Lubbock, Texas. He worked as an automotive mechanic most of his life, before retiring in 2005.
Bill loved to watch movies, play board games, and play Bingo and card games. He thoroughly enjoyed writing his motorcycle.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory include a son, William Robinson, Jr., and a daughter, Tina M. Robinson, as well as two grandchildren. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews, as well as extended family members. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, a brother, Robert D. Robinson, daughters: LaVerne Smail, Mary Geigel and Betty Hedge.
No services will be held, and private burial in Resthaven Memorial Park is under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Home.
Those who wish to remember Bill, and given there are no services, the family suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society in his name.
