Yolanda Rose Carrizales

Yolanda Rose Carrizales was born on May 5, 1955 in Slaton, TX to her parents, Anselmo Vasquez and Refufia Briones. Yolanda was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who brought love, laughter, and light wherever she went. She was a free spirit with a beautiful heart, always laughing, joking, and making memories with the people she loved.

Yolanda enjoyed dancing, cooking, garage selling, working in her yard, and, most of all, spending time with her family. She was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She loved being needed and caring for others; it was one of the ways she found purpose and joy in life. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her love extended not only to her family but also to her beloved fur babies.

Yolanda was beautiful inside and out. Wherever she was, it felt as though the sun shined a little brighter. Her laughter, kindness, and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Yolanda married her junior high sweetheart, Angel Carrizales, and their love story continued for nearly 55 years. She is now reunited with her beloved Angel, whom she cherished dearly.

Yolanda leaves behind six children: son Angel Carrizales and wife Linda; daughter Mary Cantu and husband Mickey; daughter Danielle Montanez and husband Fabian; son Jose Carrizales and wife Christina; son Johnny Carrizales; and son Valentino Carrizales.

She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, who brought tremendous joy and love into her life.

Yolanda is also survived by her brothers, Juan Vasquez of Walla Walla, Washington, and Danny Vasquez of San Antonio, Texas; and her sisters, Lupe Aguallo and Silvia San Miguel of Nebraska.

Yolanda's love, laughter, generosity, and bright spirit will live on through her family and all those whose lives she touched. She will be deeply loved, forever remembered, and greatly missed.
