Jimmy Snead

Jimmy Clayton Snead, 39, went to Heaven on Wednesday, March 15th, 2023.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23rd from 11:00am – 1:00pm at Combest Funeral Home in Lubbock, TX.  Interment will follow at 2:00 pm at the Levelland Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life will take place at the home of Michael and Jacy Kelly at 6:00 pm that evening.

Jimmy was born, March 31, 1983 in Lubbock, Texas to Clayton and Jaretta Snead.  He married Jessica Dawn Richardson on October 3, 2009 in Amarillo, TX.  He was the proud Daddy of Kambreigh Joy Snead.

Jimmy was a proud Alumni of Texas Tech University, graduating in 2014 with his BA in Kinesiology and Exercise and Sports Science.  His dream was to coach high school sports.  For four years he lived out his dream, coaching, teaching and loving kids around the Lubbock area.  In 2017 a new dream was realized when his daughter Kambreigh was born.  Jimmy stepped away from coaching to focus on raising his daughter.

Over the years, Jimmy worked for wonderful companies, meeting wonderful people.  In 2022, he found his work family with Elgin B. Robertson, Inc. (EBR).  It was with EBR that he discovered a passion for sales, travel, and his customers.  He adored the men and women he worked alongside and spoke often about their kindness and love.

Jimmy was an avid sports fan and sports memorabilia collector.  He was part of an awesome online community that bought, sold, and traded collectables.  Jimmy was the best Daddy and the “fun parent”.  He was always up to color, play Barbies and have tea parties.  Jimmy and Jessica enjoyed cooking together, binge watching tv shows and traveling.  Jimmy showed his love to Jessica in many ways, specifically when he would take her to concerts he didn’t care to see, like Billy Joel.  He secretly enjoyed it, though.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 13 years, Jessica Dawn Snead; daughter, Kambreigh Joy Snead; father, Clayton Snead of Sundown, TX; brother, Michael Kelly and wife Jacy of Wolfforth, TX;  brother, Christopher Brown and wife Christy of Poquoson, Virgina; grandmother, Ramona Harris Bright of Lubbock; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Larry and Donna Richardson of Fritch, TX; brother-in-law, Darren Richardson and wife Amy of Fritch, TX; a host of aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends that were family.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Jaretta Bright Snead.

Arrangements are under the direction of Combest Funeral Home of Lubbock.
