Kenneth "Kenny" Webb

Kenneth “Kenny” Webb, 75, of Lubbock, Texas passed away Friday, June 2, 2023. He was born January 12, 1948 to Wendell Wayne and Elva Jean Webb. He was a director and officer of many local charities such as, Detox Building, Lubbock Area Addiction Services, Susie’s Closet, and Vision of Help just to name a few. Kenny also supported many others charities.

Kenny was a truck driver until the 1980s, when he left to work with insurance adjusting. After Hurricane Andrew, Kenny went and assisted with recovery. After 35 years, Kenny retired from operating bingo in September of 2021.

Kenny was a big-time baseball fan, his favorite team being Texas Rangers, and loved recording and watching ABC Pro Rodeo. He was also an avid hunter in Colorado. When Kenny wasn’t hunting or operating bingo, he could be found listening to country music or playing the guitar.

Kenny was a faithful Christian who accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He will best be remembered by his love for his family. He was a huge family man who would bend over backwards for any of them.

Those left to cherish Kenny’s memory include his wife of 58 years, Donna; two sisters, Louise Webb and Linda Shelton (Danny) of Lubbock; daughters, Gina Webb and Christie Loper (Richard) of Lubbock; grandchildren, Megan Zen (Chris) of Plano, Kristopher Shawn Webb (Lashaye) of Abilene, Courtney Hagler (Dustin) of Lorenzo, Stacey Ray of Lubbock, and Andrew Gotsis (Sidney) of Pace, Florida; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Wendell and Elva Webb; sister, Laquitta Webb; brother-in-laws, Vernon and Danny Randolph; and son-in-law, James Ray.

A celebration of life for Kenny will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 9, 2023 in the Combest Family Memorial Chapel.
