Lisa Brooks

Lisa Selby Brooks was born November 22, 1938, in Dallas, Texas to Lawrence H. and Lois Curry. She passed from this mortal body on April 28, 2023.  Lisa earned a GED and worked her way through dental assistant school as a single mother. When she retired from the medical industry, she was scrub nurse for an oral surgeon. Lisa was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Lois, brother Lawrence and sister Sandra Wiley.

Lisa is survived by 3 sisters: Linda Alsup and husband Billy, Lana Whaley, and Sherry Guthrie. Lisa is also survived by daughter, Debbie Van Dyke and husband Lester; son, Garry Selby and wife Phyllis; daughter, Pauline Kirk and husband Glenn; daughter in law Donna Knode and husband Chuck, grandchildren Selena Green and husband Brian, Shawn Selby, Aaron Selby, Kyle Selby, 6 great grandchildren Tori Wampler and partner Phillip, Valen, Brileigh, Jenna and Kylen Green, Austin Selby and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Her memorial service will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, May 4, 2023, in Combest Family Funeral Home Chapel.
