Mary Carmen Trevino

Mary Carmen Trevino, 73, of Lubbock, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, September 21, 2022.

She attended McAllen High School, graduating in 1967.  She furthered her education by attending Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, graduating with a bachelor’s of science degree in nursing in 1984.  Her nursing career included being the Head Nurse of the Surgical Department in Mission, Texas and then with Advanced Home Health Care in McAllen, until her retirement in 2016.  Mary loved sci-fi movies, baking, 80’s music, gardening, and was an animal advocate.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include one daughter, Sheila Caballero of Lubbock; one son, Gabriel Cruz of Lubbock; one brother, Joe Trevino of McAllen; nine grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Gerardo Cruz, Jr.

Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory.
