Richard Martinez

Richard Martinez, 58, of Lubbock passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022 in Lubbock.

Richard was born on October 18, 1963 in Vernon, Texas to Domingo R. Martinez, Sr. and Sarah Ochoa Martinez.  He was raised in the Lubbock area, and he enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, fishing, spending time with his family, and watching his favorite teams, Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Dallas Cowboys.  He was known for being a hard worker and framed homes for construction.

Richard is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Rocha Martinez, father, Domingo R. Martinez, Sr., brothers, Domingo (Alice) Martinez, Jr. and David (Pearl) Martinez, sister in law, Teresa Martinez, step brother, Edward (Susan) Moreno, step sister, Annette Ortega, son, Eric (Monica) Garcia, daughter, Elaina (Solomon) Rosa, son, Robert Richard Martinez, son, James Michael Martinez, and daughter, Sara Michelle Martinez, step daughters, Korina Charles, Krystal Galan, and Kasie Rocha, grandchildren, Solomon Rosa II and Samuel Rosa, and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Ochoa Martinez, brothers, Freddy and Robert Martinez, and step mother, Maggie Martinez.

Visitation will be from 1 – 8 PM on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Combest Family Funeral Homes, 2210 Broadway, in Lubbock.  Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of Combest Family Funeral Homes & Crematory.

Memorials and donations may be given to the family.
