Thomas Burgess

Thomas Coleman Burgess, 43, of Wolfforth, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023.  He was born on March 11, 1980, in Lubbock, Texas, to Issam Nasib Hassan and Beverly Sue Burgess.

Thomas attended Lubbock schools and graduated from Coronado High School.  Following high school, he attended South Plains College.  He owned and operated Tomcat’s Tree Trimming for the last 20 years.  He loved to travel, read, hunt and fish.  His hobby of love was riding motorcycles.  Thomas was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Marines.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his four children:  Aidan Burgess and Scarlett Burgess of Olympia, Washington, Patience Jones and Tegan Jones of Lubbock, Texas; his parents, Beverly Burgess of Lubbock, Texas and Issam Nassib Hassan of Lubbock; grandmother, Sue Burgess and multiple beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and many life-long friends.

A time of reflection and memorial visitation will be held from 5 PM to 7 PM on Monday, May 1, 2023, at Combest Family Funeral Home, in the Oak Crest Suite, 2210 Broadway, Lubbock, TX 79401.

Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory.
