Born to Raymond and Carole Claborn on January 31, 1957 in Levelland, Texas.

Proceeded in death by his father, Raymond. Wayne is survived by his mother and the one and only true love of his life, Carolyn Claborn. Two sisters, Helen Claborn and Jana Puryear and her partner, Brad Fleischhaeur and an honorary brother, Johnny Terry and wife, Loretta and of course Lulu the Chihuahua Waynes constant companion and protector. Also, survived by three step-children, Sharri Boldes and her partner, Brian Mishouloum, Derrick Scott and his wife, Dani and Kati White as well as many step grandchildren, three nieces and a nephew.

Wayne graduated from Coronado High School and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He worked for Family Mobility for 14 years. His boss and coworkers were his second family, which Wayne spoke of often and with great fondness and affection. Wayne had another family, the staff and patrons at the O Bar. He had become lifelong friends to so many.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 27, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. in the Combest Family Memorial Chapel, 2210 Broadway, Lubbock, Texas, 79401. Officiating will be Mason Wilks.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Greg Wilkes for making this memorial possible and to Hospice of Lubbock for their constant and excellent care of Wayne and the family.
